Located in Historic Downtown Augusta, the Family YMCA of Downtown Augusta celebrated its 92nd anniversary of being open in December 2015. When you become a member at the Family YMCA of Downtown Augusta, you join the YMCA at the Metro level, meaning you have access to all nine YMCA locations and our three pools at the Aiken County, Downtown Augusta and Wilson locations! Enjoy swimming laps, swim lessons or aquatic fitness in our indoor pool, work out with a Les Mills group exercise class (offered exclusively at this location) or unwind with one of our licensed massage therapists. This four-story building is also the home of the Metro Executive staff. There’s something for everyone at the Family YMCA of Downtown Augusta-join us!

Downtown Family Y Pool Hours

Monday - Friday: 6 am - 8:30 pm

Saturda: 8 am - 3:30 pm

Sunday: 11 am - 3:30 pm


OPEN SWIM/LAP LANES

Open swims are FREE to members. Space maybe limited during class time. Lap Lanes are available when water aerobics classes are not in session. Offered at the Family Y of Downtown Augusta and the Wilson Family Y indoor pools.

Downtown Family Y Lap Lanes Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 6 am – 8:30 pm

Saturday: 8 am – 3:30 pm

Sunday: 1 – 3:30 pm


WATER AEROBICS

Water Aerobics Schedule:
Classes are FREE to members.

POWER PUMP:
Serious workout designed to increase cardio stimulation. Series of exercises using hand buoys to firm & build upper body strength. For Intermediate/Advanced levels. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays at 5:30 pm.

ABC (Aqua Body Conditioning):
Using the water to improve balance and conditioning. Light cardiovascular stroll, abdominal training, balance and flexibility. Proper body alignment will be stressed. For beginner level students. Offered Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30 am.

AQUACISE FOR HEALTH:
High impact workout designed to improve endurance, flexibility, range of motion, muscle tone and posture using the water’s resistance to cushion the feet, knees and back. Buoys and/or noodles may be used. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays at 9:30 am.

HYDRO KICK-BOX:
Fun, vigorous, easy-to-follow workout will incorporate short intervals of cardio training followed by lower body exercises. Offered Fridays at 5:30 pm.

HI/LO H20:
60-minute workout designed to emphasize total body conditioning through the water’s resistance using equipment to help firm and build muscle. Offered Fridays at 9:30 am.
