The Family Y of Greater Augusta

SPLASH (Swim, Play and Learn Aquatics Safety Habits) is a national YMCA initiative that teaches children the basics of water safety. Through a partnership with the Richmond County Board of Education, the Family Y provides water safety classes during the school year for second-grade students every year. SPLASH classes are offered at Aiken County Family YMCA, Downtown Augusta Family YMCA and Wilson Family YMCA. The week-long program teaches 3 main objectives: being able to recognize a lifeguard, identify and respond to someone drowning, call 911, and being safe around the water.

Each May, SPLASH is offered FREE to the community for children ages 3-12. May 2017 SPLASH dates are TBD – stay tuned!
