THE ENDOWMENT FUND

Endowment gifts generate interest income to support YMCA scholarships, programs and facilities, while the original donation is maintained intact. These gifts make it possible for the Y to continue responding to the needs of the CSRA for years to come. As a nonprofit, charitable organization, the Endowment Fund is critical to ensuring that the work of the YMCA continues with children and families in our next generation.

Beyond assuring the continuation of the Y’s work, endowment giving can benefit donors with tax and estate-planning advantages. If you have a specific interest at the Y, your tax-deductible gift can be designated for that purpose.

WAYS TO GIVE

Outright gifts of cash, property, appreciated security or other marketable assets.

Include a gift to the Family Y’s Endowment Fund in your will for a percentage of your estate, a specified amount of the residue of the estate.

Charitable Trusts are gifts with life income retained by you and/or a loved one. After your lifetime(s), the trust principal passes to the Endowment Fund.

Name the YMCA as the owner or primary contingency beneficiary of a new or existing insurance policy, qualified IRS, pension plan or bank account.

These gifts may be used to enhance the long-term value of your life estate and income objectives of you and your family, while making an important contribution to the Y.
