INTRODUCING THE NEW NORTH AUGUSTA FAMILY YMCA

Opening Summer 2026

After 17 years in our current building, the North Augusta Family YMCA has outgrown the space, and the needs of our community continue to grow with us. This move is fueled by your support, our community’s evolving needs and a shared vision for a healthier, more connected future. Our new facility doubles our current square footage, giving us the room to grow alongside the people we serve.

Positioned in an area of exciting development and expansion, the new Y strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality programs and experiences. Our child care programs will finally have a permanent, on-site home, no longer relying on borrowed community spaces. Every program, from wellness to community outreach, will have room to expand, improve and evolve. And because we will now own our building, we’re creating long-term stability that opens the door to even greater opportunities ahead.

While our building is changing, our heart isn’t. The same welcoming spirit, committed staff and inclusive mission will continue to guide everything we do – now with more space, more possibility and more ways to help our community thrive.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our new, expanded facility is designed with you in mind. Over the past few years, we’ve listened to your feedback and prioritized the features that matter most to our members. This new space brings meaningful upgrades and brand-new amenities — but none of it is possible without a successful fundraising campaign. Your support turns ideas into impact, and space into opportunity.

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Larger wellness floor for strength and cardio workouts
  • Three spacious group exercise studios, including a dedicated spin studio
  • Expanded Crossfit Box, now twice the size of our current space
  • Double-sized childcare space, plus on-site summer camp and after-school programming
  • Additional private family locker rooms

  • 2 Indoor Pickleball Courts
  • Sauna for post-workout recovery and relaxation
  • EGYM Smart Circuit
  • New state-of-the-art fitness equipment

Our new North Augusta Family YMCA is designed with one purpose — to give our community the space, programs and opportunities it deserves. But to bring the full vision to life, we need the strength of the community that has always stood behind us.

We’ve launched a fundraising campaign with a goal of $2.6 million, and every gift moves us closer to creating a space where all ages, backgrounds and families can thrive. Whether you choose to make one meaningful contribution or set up a recurring gift, your support makes a lasting impact. Gifts can be fulfilled over five years, making it easier than ever to be part of something big.

For those who want to leave a legacy, naming opportunities are also available throughout the new facility.
