COUNSELORS IN TRAINING
Rising High School Juniors and Seniors
Our CIT program provides leadership experiences specific to camp counseling. For two weeks, CITs live in a cabin with campers and counselors. They meet daily with the program director to discuss observations and strategies for leading campers effectively. Being a CIT is the best of both worlds….camper and leader.
LEADERS IN TRAINING
Rising Freshman and Sophomores
Our LIT program engages teens in individual and teamwork oriented leadership development. They receive leadership training and mentor younger campers as one of their land activities. They choose and participate in all other land and water activities as a camper.
CAMP STORE
Our camp store is open on opening and closing days of camp for camp merchandise. We also open during the camp week for snacks.
Previous Campers will receive a $5 credit to their canteen account for bringing a new camp friend. This can only be applied once per session and is only applied to the session that the friend attends.
DISCOUNTS
Take advantage of Early Bird Registration and receive $100 off a camp session when you register (with fee and deposit) by December 31!
Previous campers will receive a $5 credit to their canteen account for bringing a new camp friend! This can only be applied once per session and is only applied to the session that the friend attends.
FINANCIAL AID
All kids deserve the chance to experience overnight camp. YMCA Camp Lakeside works diligently to raise annual donations for families in need, especially those who would not be able to participate otherwise. To apply for financial assistance, or to give to our annual campaign, visit any Family Y branch.
VOLUNTEERING
Camp Lakeside benefits each summer from the generosity of our community members who are nurses, physicians, program experts and educators who volunteer their time to serve our campers. Volunteering offers you a unique opportunity to be a part of something special at Camp Lakeside, and we are pleased to offer discounts and scholarships to campers from the families of our Camp Nurses and other select positions. If you would like to volunteer with us, please contact Charlie Prescott, District Executive, at [email protected]. Click here for more information about how you can get involved.
