Summer Day Camp

The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta offers day camp programs across the CSRA at nine different locations. One week sessions are May through August. Our summer camps offer unforgettable experiences for your child.

From arts and crafts, to swimming, to sports, there is something fun for all. Through our camps we offer a Summer Enrichment Program which focuses on S.T.E.A.M. ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities for campers. Your child will have a memorable summer and make lifelong friendships.

Summer is in session at The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta!

Full payments must be made the Monday prior to the week camp starts.

A camp for children (ages 5-6 years).

Campers will enjoy daily swimming, arts and crafts, games, sports, and character development activities. Camp activities will run from 9am – 4pm.  Early drop off at 7:00 am and late pickup by 6:00 pm are available at no additional cost.

Lunch and a snack are provided. Campers are allowed to bring their own sack lunch and snack. Please no food that requires refrigeration or heating.  Campers will need to wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. Campers will need to bring a bookbag with a towel, swimsuit, spray on sunscreen, pool shoes, and a change of clothes. Please label all items with your child’s name.

Camp will be held at: Aiken County Family YMCA – 621 Trolley Line Road – Graniteville SC 29801 with drop off (7-9am) and pickup (4-6pm) at the rear of the building. Photo IDs are required everyday at pickup.

** $10 Non- refundable deposit must be paid for every week of camp per camper. The deposit will be credited towards that week’s fees once the child has attended.
** Cancellations must be done in writing 7 days prior to the camp start date. Camp fees will be drafted for any cancellations after the camp start date.
** Non- attendance does not entitle a refund

 

Extended Summer Camp Weeks: These 2 weeks are for students who do not attend Aiken County Public School District. A 50% deposit is due at registration.

We offer one traditional camp (ages 5 – 12), with the option of registering for one of our two specialty camps.

Camp Hours: 7:00 Am – 6:00 Pm

Swim Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Aqua Fun – (Ages 7-12) campers will have fun in and out of the water park and use their imaginations to create water projects of their own! They will also participate in water safety class and discuss ways to improve their swimming techniques. They will meet with their groups and swim or have scheduled water activities. This camp will be held from June 1st- July21st. All camps will be held at Monte Sano Elementary

Campers have a variety of activities to choose from, depending on their interests. Lunch and a snack are provided. Campers are allowed to bring their own sack lunch and snack. Please no food that requires refrigeration or heating.  Campers will need to wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed athletic shoes. Campers will need to bring a bookbag with a towel, swimsuit, spray on sunscreen, water shoes, water bottle and a change of clothes. Please label all items with your child’s name.

Unless otherwise specified, camp activities are 9:00 am- 4:00 pm with early drop-off beginning at 7:00 am and late pick-up until 6:00 pm at no additional charge.

A deposit of $10 per week for all weeks registered is due at registration. Deposits are non-refundable.

If you want to apply for financial assistance you will need to come in and complete the forms. You can still register online for camp.

The balance of camp will automatically be deducted 3 days before camp session starts.

Traditional Day Camp is a full day camp that allows campers to learn and explore new and exciting themes each week while building confidence and making friends. Y Day Camp programs are built around our four character values: Caring, Honestly, Respect and Responsibility. Some of the activities your camper can expect to see/do are STEM, arts and crafts, a variety of organized games, physical activity, and daily swim time.

Drop off and pickup will occur in the cul-de-sac near the Childcare Exit Door. Photo IDs are required everyday at pickup.

Unless otherwise specified, camp activities are 9:00 am- 4:00 pm with early drop-off beginning at 7:00 am and late pick-up until 6:00 pm at no additional charge.

Financial assistance is available for all Family YMCA programs.

** There is a $10 non-refundable deposit that must be paid during signup for every week of camp per camper. The deposit will be credited towards the week’s fee.

** Cancellations must be made in writing 7 days prior to the start date of camp.

**Non-attendance does not entitle a refund**

Camp Discovery: Steiner | Ages: 5-7

Camp Discovery: A camp for children aged 5-6 years.

Campers will enjoy weekly water days, arts and crafts, games, sports, and character development activities. Camp activities will run from 9am – 4pm.  Early drop off at 7:00 am and late pickup by 6:00 pm are available at no additional cost.

Breakfast, Lunch and a snack are provided. Breakfast is served between 7:00-8:30am. Campers are allowed to bring their own sack lunch and snack. Please no food that requires refrigeration or heating.  Campers will need to wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. Campers will need to bring a bookbag with a towel, spray on sunscreen, and a change of clothes. A swimsuit and pool shoes will need to be brought in each Thursday, for Water Day. The Steiner YMCA splits our water day locations with the Thomson Y Pool and on site Splash Pad (Steiner Y Camp) or Water Slide and Water Games (Patriot’s Park). Please label all items with your child’s name. Each Thursday is Kona Ice Truck Day and campers must bring cash in a labeled zip lock bag by Wednesday to participate. Canteen Day is each Friday afternoon and include opportunities to buy juice boxes, chips, candy, etc. All items are 1.00 and go toward our annual fundraising campaign.

They will be checked in by a counselor while in their car, and another counselor will escort them inside/outside the building. Do not get out of your car or park. A car line visor sign will be given at registration at Steiner Branch and can be picked up before the campers first day if enrolled online. Photo IDs are required everyday at pickup.

Enjoy a week of Day Camp outdoor adventures! Includes swimming, archery, kayaking, hiking, climbing wall, low ropes course, water games, and character building.

Camp drop off and pick-up will be available at the Wilson Family YMCA and at Camp Lakeside. You will be able to choose your drop-off/pick-up location during registration.

DROP OFF
For the safety of staff and campers, campers may not be dropped off at the Family YMCA earlier than 7:00AM. Campers can be dropped off at Wilson Family YMCA 7:00AM to 8:00AM or Camp Lakeside from 7:00AM -9:00AM. Campers must be picked up at the same location that they were dropped off at, unless notification is given to Julie Prescott/Program Director via email [email protected] or text at (706) 836-9639. Campers being dropped off at the Wilson Y will ride the Y bus to Camp Lakeside. The bus will leave promptly at 8:10 AM.

PICK -UP
• Pick up is from 4:00– 6:00 PM at Camp Lakeside or Wilson Family YMCA
• A picture I.D. is required to pick up your camper!
• You must sign your child in/out with their counselor each day.
• Only authorized people listed on the Health History form will be allowed to pick up your child.
• Campers must be picked up by 6 PM in order to avoid a late fee.

A parent/camper handbook will be sent out 1 week prior to camp.  Please ensure the email is always up-to-date.

Over the course of 6 weeks, the L.I.T.s will participate in various activities focused on adventure, leadership, and giving back to the community. L.I.T.s will spend time outdoors servicing our community through a variety of projects as well as assisting with YMCA Summer Camp.  By the end of the program, your teen will learn to embody the four core values of the YMCA: Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.

Participants must complete and submit an application (this can be found at our front desk), as well as a phone interview. Applications will be reviewed and approved by the Camp Director.

DAY CAMP AT THE NORTH AUGUSTA FAMILY Y!! Our Family Y works year round to be able to provide the best camp experience for all of our camper. Camp is what we do! At the Y we believe that one of the most memorable parts of camp is the friendships campers make at camp.

This year’s theme is AROUND THE WORLD! Campers will enjoy arts and crafts, games, sports, devotions and character development activities.

Location: Discovery Plaza, 1 7th St, Augusta, GA 30901

Ages: 5 to 12 years old

Camp activities will take place 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Early drop off at 7:00 am and late pick up at 6:00 pm are available at no additional cost. Breakfast will be at 9am, Lunch will be at 11am to 12pm, and Snack at 3pm.

This camp will be held from June 1st- July21st. 
All camps will be held at Monte Sano Elementary 
Each week will consist of drills for the specific sport, speed, strength and stamina drills, and game play.
**Please make sure your camper is always provided with a water bottle, athletic attire (no jeans/denim), sunscreen, cleats and tennis shoes (no open toe shoes/sandals).  Hats are highly recommended. ** Camp will be 7Am-6Pm

Thomson Traditional Summer Day Camp

Campers will enjoy swimming, arts and crafts, games, sports, and character development activities. Camp activities will run from 9 am – 4 pm.  Early drop-off at 7:00 am and late pickup by 6:00 pm are available at no additional cost.

Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are provided. Campers are allowed to bring their own sack lunch and snack. Please no food that requires refrigeration or heating.  Campers will need to wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes. Campers will need to bring a book bag with a towel, swimsuit, spray-on sunscreen, pool shoes, and a change of clothes. Please label all items with your child’s name.

The camp will be held at a location to be determined with drop off (7-9 am) and pickup (4-6 pm). Photo ID is required for pickup.

** $10 Non- refundable deposit must be paid for every week of camp per camper. The deposit will be credited towards that week’s fees once the child has attended.
** Cancellations must be done in writing 7 days prior to the camp start date. Camp fees will be drafted for any cancellations after the camp start date.
** Non- attendance does not entitle a refund

The Leaders in Training (L.I.T) program allows youth, ages 13 – 15, to develop into role models and leaders. Campers will attend a 10-week program that will train them to create and plan programs and also develop leadership skills and character development.

Kids will have an awesome summer at our Traditional Summer Camps. Campers have a variety of camps to choose from, depending on their interests.

There is a $25 ($10 each additional child in the household) one-time, non-refundable registration fee in addition to weekly camp fees.
