🚚 Calling All Food Truck Owners! Join Our Food Truck Friday Series 🍴🍰

The Aiken County Family YMCA is excited to invite local food truck owners to participate in our Food Truck Friday summer series, running every Friday from June 5th through July 17th.

Each Friday from 11:00AM-3:00PM, we will host two food trucks:

• One lunch-focused food truck

• One dessert-focused food truck

This weekly event draws YMCA members, families, and community partners looking for great food and a fun way to kick off the weekend—making it a fantastic opportunity to showcase your menu, grow your customer base, and give back at the same time.

Aiken County Family YMCA Polar Plunge

Survive the Cold to Strengthen Our Community

Join us Saturday, February 28th at 9:00 AM on the pool deck and take the plunge to raise critical funds and awareness for our Safety Around Water program.

Safety Around Water is a FREE, life-saving program for children in our community, designed to reduce the risk of drowning while building confidence and essential skills in and around the water. Through this program, children learn how to stay safe, overcome fear, and develop a lifelong respect for water—at no cost to families.

Augusta South Family Y Powerlifting Competition

100% of fees will be supporting the Augusta South Y Annual Campaign. Your participation will ensure that your neighbors, families and friends all have access the Y programs and memberships regardless of their financial or life circumstances.

********Four Events**********

• Bench Only
• Bench Reps
• Deadlift
• Power Curl

Entry Fee – $25 per event.

Deadline for entry is February 14th. After this date, there will be a $10 late fee.

Rules

Bench Press

Lift off is allowed, arms must be straight at the start of the lift, Lifter will push weight up after you hear the “PRESS” signal. Lifter MUST NOT put bar in rack until the “RACK” signal.

Bench Reps

Lifter must do as many “touch and go” reps as possible. NO RESTING!

Men must do their body weight. Women and youth will do HALF their body weight.

Power Curl

Lifter will stand and use EZ Curl bar. Lifter can NEVER lean forward. Lifter must wait on the call signals “CURL, DOWN, & RACK“.

Deadlift

Lifter must stand erect with the weight and not put the weight down until they hear the “DOWN” signal.

Weight Classes:

85, 97, 105, 114, 123, 132, 148, 165, 181, 198, 220, 242, 275, & Super Heavy Weight

Age Groups: 16-19, 20-29, Over 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 years old

Weigh-in times are Friday 2/20 from 6-7pm in Studio B, and Saturday 2/21 from 8-9am in Studio B. The rules will be read at 9:15am. 

Awards:

1st-3rd in each division and weight class

Also Best and Biggest Bench Press and Best and Biggest Deadlift! 

Join us for a night of spooky fun around our walking trail behind our YMCA. The trick-or-treat trail will run from 4p-6pm for littles who wish to come and see our staff and volunteers stationed around the trail waiting to fill their buckets with a sweet treat. 7-9pm will be our Spooky Haunted Trail for older kids who don’t mind a little jump scare as they make their way around the trail filled with surprises around every turn!

Cost is $1 per person…that’s it! Money raised from this event will go to our Annual Campaign fundraising efforts so that we may continue to offer financial assistance to those wanting to be a part of our programs and wellness center but may need a little help affording the costs.

Join us for an afternoon of entertainment and natural beauty at Family YMCA Camp Lakeside.  The Golden Hour—the magical time just before sunset—will end our fun-filled day of live music, dinner, bingo, a wine pull, and silent auction.  This is more than just an event; it’s a golden moment you don’t want to miss.  The attire is business casual. 

$100.00 per ticket.

$25 for a drink arm band.

$1000 for a table (includes 8 tickets and drink arm band).

Kick It Forward is a kickball fundraiser created to bring kids, teens, and adults together through play, connection, and purpose. Open to all ages and skill levels, this event celebrates the joy of movement while supporting the Greater Augusta YMCA Annual Campaign.

Every registration helps ensure that YMCA programs remain accessible to individuals and families across our community. Funds raised support youth development, healthy living, and opportunities that strengthen the social fabric of our neighborhoods.

When you step onto the field, you are doing more than playing a game. You are investing in programs that help children grow in confidence, families stay active together, and communities remain connected.

Join us as we kick it forward and continue the work of building a stronger community.

Burke County YMCA Polar Bear Plunge — Cold for a Cause!

Join us on January 17th from 10am–12pm for a chilly, thrill-filled tradition that supports the heart of our community! The Polar Bear Plunge invites participants 16 and up to take a courageous dip into the icy waters—all to raise funds for essential YMCA programs that change lives.

Your plunge directly helps:

• A child learn to swim

• A neighbor receive a YMCA membership

• A family in need receive a safe, warm bed

Whether you’re taking the plunge solo or gathering a group, every splash makes a difference.

Registration Options

• $25 – Individual Plunger

• $100 – Group of Five

Join us for a fun-filled Bingo Night at the Steiner Branch Family YMCA where every card played helps support our Annual Campaign! Get ready for an exciting evening of games, prizes, and community spirit—all for a great cause. Don’t forget to register the kids for Parent’s Night Out so that you can drop them off with our staff and come play BINGO!

• $15 for Members – Includes 3 BINGO cards
• $20 for Non-Members – Includes 3 BINGO cards
