Youth Pickleball

Serving Up Fun and Fitness!

Pickleball isn’t just for adults – it’s the fastest-growing sport in America for all ages! The North Jefferson YMCA’s Youth Pickleball Program is a coed program that introduces kids to this exciting, fast-paced game in a fun, supportive environment. Our program is designed to teach the fundamentals of pickleball, improve coordination, and build confidence on and off the court.

Why Pickleball?

Pickleball is a fun, inclusive sport that’s easy to learn but provides a challenge for all skill levels. It promotes physical fitness, hand-eye coordination, and strategic thinking. Best of all, it’s a game that kids can play for life!

Program Highlights:

  • Skill Development – Players will learn the basics of pickleball, including rules, scoring, and techniques such as dinking, volleys, and serves.
  • Active and Engaging – Coaches will lead participants through drills, games, and mini-tournaments to keep them moving while improving agility, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Team Building and Friendships – Pickleball is a social sport! Kids will have the opportunity to connect with peers, build friendships, and develop communication skills.
  • Confidence and Growth – As players progress, they will build self-confidence through positive reinforcement, goal-setting, and skill challenges.
