Dream On Challenge
How long can you last sleeping on the floor?
Accept the Dream On Challenge and help raise funds to support the YMCA’s A Place to Dream program. For one night on March 15, we challenge YOU to sleep on the floor. This challenge isn’t just about toughing it out. It’s about understanding the struggle that hundreds of children in our community go through every night. There’s no cost to accept the challenge, but you can add-on a donation to A Place to Dream to increase your impact.
Don’t just take the challenge, take action! Spread the word that you’ve accepted the challenge and encourage your friends to donate to A Place to Dream. Then, on March 16, share your experience on social media! How long did you last on the floor? How did you feel?
A Place to Dream provides beds, linens, a stuffed animal and a Bible to children with improper sleeping arrangements across the CSRA. Many of these children are sleeping on the floor, couch or sharing a bed with siblings. In partnership with WRDW-News 12/26 and Wellstar, A Place to Dream Newborns provides infants with a portable crib. Through this program, Family YMCA of Greater Augusta has provided more than 2,000 beds to children and infants.
