Youth Volleyball Fall 2025
Bump, set, spike! The YMCA Youth Volleyball Program is designed to teach players the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun, encouraging, and team-focused environment. Open to youth of all skill levels, this program focuses on developing essential volleyball techniques, improving fitness, and building confidence both on and off the court.
Participants will learn the basics of serving, passing, setting, and spiking while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. Each session includes drills, skills practice, and exciting game play, tailored to age and ability. Whether your child is a first-time player or an experienced athlete, they’ll find a supportive space to grow, stay active, and make new friends.
U10 (7-9) COED
Important 2025 Youth Volleyball Information
Control Date for Age Requirement: August 1, 2025
Coaching:
- Coaches meeting: October 1 at 630 pm in Wilson Y Sports Pavilion.
Practices:
- Practices begin the week of October 13th
- U10 will practice on Tuesdays and Fridays at 5 pm
- U13 and U16 practice times are determined by the coach’s availability and preference
Games:
- Games begin the week of October 27th
- Game schedule will be released no later than October 17th
- Games are played on Tuesdays and Fridays, depending on league size
- Games will be played at Wilson’s YMCA gym
- Playoffs will be played after each team has completed their regular season schedule
Equipment:
- All players are required to wear knee pads and athletic shoes.
- Jerseys will be handed out prior to each team’s first game.
- Jerseys must be tucked in at all times during play.
