Swim Team

The goals of our swim teams are to be recreational and competitive and to expand on the fundamentals of competitive swimming.

Meets are voluntary and DO require additional fees.

Swimmers must be able to complete 1 length (25M) of freestyle and 1 length (25M) backstroke without a pause to qualify for the team.

Swim Team participation is open to ages 5-21 years old.

Our vision for the Aiken Armada YMCA Masters Swim Team is to create a supportive and dynamic community of swimmers who share a passion for the water. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or looking to dive into the sport for the first time, we welcome you with open arms.

This group is intended for swimmers for the purpose of training, fitness and enjoyment of swimming. This program will focus on improving the swimmer’s form, endurance and speed for fitness, competition, open water swimming, or triathlon. Structured workouts and oversight will be provided. Ages 18+

Practice Schedule: May-Nov 2024

Morning Practices (M, W, F):
Time: 6:00 AM – 7:30 AM
Midday Practices (Tu, Thu):
Time: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

YMCA Members:
Monthly Fee: $40
Non-Members:
Monthly Fee: $80
Annual USMS Fee: $70(Req.)
