This Season of Giving, help ensure everyone has a place to belong.

At the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta, every gift is a doorway to opportunity. Your support creates safe places, joyful moments and a stronger, more inclusive community where everyone can thrive. The Y is more than a gym. We’re a nonprofit, rooted in faith and guided by the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Together, we’re building a place where all people,  regardless of age, background or income, can belong.

Our 2025 Impact

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

No one is ever turned away from the YMCA for their inability to pay. Every year, we provide at least $2,000,000 in financial assistance for programs and membership. We put no limit on the number of scholarships we provide.

A PLACE TO DREAM

Through our A Place to Dream bed program, we provide families in need with beds, bedding, stuffed animals and Bibles. The amount of beds we are able to provide is directly tied to donations and volunteers.

CHERYL'S KITCHEN

Our summer food program provides year-round assistance to families facing food insecurity. Since March 2020, we have distributed 3.6 million meals through our YMCA facilities and Y On The Fly program.

SAFETY AROUND WATER

Drowning is the second leading cause of death for children 1-14 years old, and that's why the Y is committed to teaching children life-saving water safety skills through Safety Around Water and swim lessons.

Through a gift to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign, you can teach a child to swim, prevent summer learning loss and provide cancer survivors with a supportive community. 100% of your gift goes to support children, adults and communities in need.   • A gift of $65 teaches one child to swim
  • A gift of $100 gives one child access to a season of youth sports
  • A gift of $350 provides two children with a week of summer day camp
  • A gift of $500 gives seven children one-week each of after-school care
  • A gift of $750 sends one child to overnight camp for a week
  • A gift of $1,000 gives a family a full year of YMCA membership and access to family-centered programs
  • A gift of $2,000 provides access to programs and services for up to 30 children and families across swim lessons, youth sports, and after-school care
