Melissa Devine

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Melissa was born and raised in Texas, is a USAF veteran and is passionate about health and fitness.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Science and is certified as a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise. She loves her job and enjoys teaching others that beginning a workout routine can be enjoyable, sustainable and empowering! Melissa is a great listener to the needs of her clients in order to design custom workouts to achieve their goals. Her specializations include: Nutrition counseling/weight loss, strength/hypertrophy, power lifting, functional movement and HIIT. Melissa is also a personal trainer at the North Augusta Family YMCA.

Nancy Kieltsch

AFAA Certified Personal Trainer

Nancy is a wife, mother, grandmother and retired law enforcement officer. She follows a comprehensive personal fitness regimen built around resistance training, cardiovascular training and nutrition. Her personal philosophy is built on sound foundation, but is individually tailored to each client’s needs and goals. After establishing the goals and objectives with her client, Nancy will dedicate each training session not only in achieving these goals, but also pushing her clients beyond their comfort zone to realize their full potential. Nancy has been in the fitness industry for 10 years and teaches Cycle, Mashup, Pound and has many certifications.

Carol McDiffit

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Carol has been with the YMCA since 2015, assisting at the front desk and wellness floor. Carol is a certified personal trainer through ACE, as well as a group exercise instructor. Recently retired, she has dedicated much of her time to the health and wellness world! She’s determined to help the community be healthy, fit and independent!

Wendy Moore

AFAA CERTIFICATION

For the past seven years, Wendy has enjoyed teaching a variety of stretching, cardiovascular and strength training classes to participants of all ages and abilities at the Aiken County Family YMCA. In order to assist those with more challenging fitness requirements, she became a certified Livestrong Instructor, helping cancer survivors meet their fitness goals. This led to the next chapter of Wendy’s career, Certified Personal Fitness Trainer (CPT) through AFAA. As a CPT, she looks forward to working with clients in creating a customized and comprehensive fitness program, which may incorporate yoga, Pilates, barre, with cardiovascular and muscular endurance in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Jake Norton

WITS Certified Personal Trainer

Jake is a senior Exercise and Sports Science major at the University of South Carolina Aiken. He is a 22-year-old native of Aiken. He played soccer at a collegiate level, football throughout high school and is also the intramural sports coordinator at USCA. Jake is very passionate about fitness! Even though he is new to personal training, he has a deep knowledge of health and wellness. With the help of his own personal experiences of playing sports, working in physical therapy clinics and working to create a healthy lifestyle for himself, he wishes to widen the knowledge of health and wellness in the community.

I am a NETA certified personal trainer, a yoga teacher, certified Bodypump instructor, and am now working on my BioMechanics Corrective Exercise Specialist certification. My focus is to use exercise to bring self awareness and good health to my clients. This means having a balance between cardio, strength, and flexibility, and finding ways for my clients to enjoy each aspect of this exercise triangle. In this way I hope to help my clients create a healthy, sustainable lifestyle and the freedom to take charge of their lives. Malaci is retired Army who has always had a passion for fitness. Upon his retirement, he chased his dreams and obtained his personal training certification through NASM. Malaci is passionate about holistic health: mind, body and spirt. He loves seeking optimal health in his own life and helping others to do the same.

Tatyana Edie

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Tatyana was born and raised in Russia. She came to the U.S. with her parents and two sisters in 1997. Always interested in sports and fitness, Tatyana decided to pursue her career in the Fitness industry. She started by acquiring Spinning Instructor certification in 2002. Shortly after, Tatyana got her Personal Trainer certification from American Council on Exercise and started her training career. However, her education was not over. Tatyana wanted to know more about human body and human behavior. This thirst for knowledge led her to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Performance and Sport from Metropolitan University of Denver.

Michelle Guest

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Michelle is a 47-year-old mother and wife who loves spending time with family and friends. She was always an active child and teen and danced for many years. As an adult, she has always kept up on the most current fitness trends and still loves a challenge. She was introduced to P90X by a friend and before she knew it, she was leaving her corporate job, obtaining fitness certifications and became a certified personal trainer. Michelle has always had a passion for helping people and with the love and support from her husband, she was able to focus her energy on health and fitness.

Laurie Mallon

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Laurie is an ACE-certified personal trainer and a certified women’s health coach with over 20 years of personal and professional experience in health and fitness. She is also a Yoga Level 1 Certified Instructor. She loves creating individualized fitness programs that focus on sustainable results for her clients. Laurie believes that a balanced approach in both nutrition and exercise is key to reaching your fitness and performance goals. She offers 1-on-1 and small group personal training.

Andria Myers

NETA Certified Personal Trainer

Andria grew up taking dance classes at Davidson Fine Arts School and doing competitive gymnastics. She went on to study as a dance performance major at Brenau University. Shortly after school, she became a mother and took a break from dance and fitness. After marriage and her second daughter, Andria fell back into an active lifestyle and got certified in Yoga Fit and WERQ. She loves sharing the gift of movement and exercise with people and helping them find their healthiest life.

Bridget Naughton

Bridget is a mother of two grown children, originally from Boston, MA. Health and fitness have always been in the forefront throughout her life. She brings over 35 years of hands-on experience to the table. Her Certification s include: Personal Trainer since 1996, group fitness instructor since 1983, Cycle, TRX, Body Pump and SilverSneakers Specializing in Fitness over Fifty, core strength and balance.

Scott Anderson

I am a CrossFit instructor and personal trainer at the North Augusta Family Y. I have lived in North Augusta my whole life. I have a wonderful wife and two great kids. My main focus is on functional fitness, either sustaining an active lifestyle or working to achieve an active lifestyle. I focus on mobility, movement patterns, strength and metabolic conditioning. With these four things and a proper diet, you will be on the right track to a long and healthy life.

I was always active as a kid. I played many sports: baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, rugby, etc. During my 7 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, I became dedicated to creating the best version of myself. I started weightlifting, running, cycling, and learned about working out and programming it to my needs. As an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, I have trained hundreds of clients, and am ready to share my knowledge and expertise to help everyone achieve their best lifestyles. Chase is also a personal trainer at Riverfront YMCA.

Five years ago, J.R. decided to make his health and fitness a priority. He made a lifestyle change and in doing so also found a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals. With two decades in fire service and as a paramedic, helping others came naturally to him. J.R. has pursued certifications in personal training, cycle and group fitness. He wants to help his clients understand the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and works with a variety of exercise modalities to help his client achieve their goals.

April Parker

AFAA Certified Personal Trainer

April struggled with health and weight issues for years. In 2011, she became determined to get a handle on her own health. She lost 100 pounds over the next 2 years and began her career in Fitness. April joined the YMCA in 2013, and worked in various positions within the Wellness Department. April pursued her passion of helping others by becoming a certified personal trainer with AFAA. Since then she has also become certified in Yoga and Spin. April has continued to expand her knowledge of fitness and weight loss by participating in trainings in fighting obesity, midlife fitness for women and nutrition for sports and exercise. April is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their goals and adopt long-term sustainable practices to ensure they not only lose weight and improve their health, but that they maintain their weight loss and improved health.

Anthony Cosby

Anthony is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer from Athens, Georgia. He is a former D-1 football player that specializes in sport-specific training, mobility, strength, balance and flexibility training. He is a highly motivated individual that modifies workouts to train anyone from youth to seniors. Anthony strongly believes that anyone can begin their fitness journey at anytime because it is never too late to get fit and live a healthy lifestyle. He finds joy in keeping individuals motivated to perform beyond their expectations.

Morgan Davis

ACSM Certified Personal Trainer

Morgan is a recent graduate from Georgia College & State University with a degree in Exercise Science and is a ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. Through her undergraduate studies, she was able to gather training experience with clients of all ages and limitations in both group fitness and one-on-one settings.  Morgan is an Augusta native and grew up playing a variety of sports through school and the community. She has always had a passion for helping others and found a passion for health and wellness during college which lead her into the field of Personal Training.

Allyson is an Augusta native, but started her fitness career in York, England before moving back home to Georgia a few years ago. Before becoming a certified fitness trainer, she trained circus arts and has been teaching group fitness classes for nearly 10 years! She uses her circus arts knowledge to create a fun fitness environment for clients. Allyson’s specialties are flexibility and helping women achieve their pull up!

I am a competitive strength athlete with a diverse background. I am a record-holding powerlifter in the state of Georgia, a nationally ranked weightlifter in the sport of PowerX and a natural bodybuilder. I studied Exercise and Sport Science at Augusta University, and am a certified personal trainer through the NSCA.

CJ Ingram

NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Carlton “CJ” Ingram, Jr. is a certified personal trainer, as well as a certified fitness nutrition specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He first became interested in fitness around 2013 while going through a difficult time in his life. Working out served as a stress reliever and helped him get through those tough times. Not only did he become physically fit, he became stronger mentally. What started out as a hobby eventually became his new passion and led him on the path to becoming a personal trainer. CJ hopes that he can use his past experiences and fitness knowledge to encourage and help his clients change mentally and physically in a positive way.

Randy graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. He is currently a certified personal trainer through the American Counsel on Exercise (ACE). He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Augusta University.

Brandi Mack

Brandi is a certified cancer exercise specialist, and LIVESTRONG at the YMCA instructor. Brandi teaches cancer survivors about exercise and wellness by working on improving their cardiovascular endurance, all around strength, flexibility and balance. Her mission is to empower as many people as she can to create sustainable solutions for lasting health and happiness.

Otis Jenkins

NETA Certified Personal Trainer

I have been teaching fitness classes since 1990. As an Army veteran, I have always believed in being physically fit. I’ve added Spin and Group Exercise certifications through the Y organization over the years. Most recently, I have earned certifications with Les Mills in BODYPUMP and BODYCOMBAT. I’d like to help people enjoy their fitness journey while smashing their goals.

Londa Lawson

Londa was born and raised in Thomson, GA. Before becoming an employee at the Y, she volunteered with the LIVESTRONG Program for cancer survivors. In August 2015, she became an employee for The Thomson Family Y as a Certified Personal Trainer and a Wellness Coach. In April 2017, she became the Wellness Lead, and in September 2017 she became the Wellness Coordinator. After several years of working at the Y, she has received numerous certifications to include: Group Exercise Instructor, CPR Instructor, LIVESTRONG Instructor, Indoor Cycling Instructor, WERQ Dance Fitness Professional, P90X Live Instructor and Weight Loss Specialist. She is currently working on a certification for Fitness Nutrition Specialist.

Michelle Adair

Michelle Adair has been a trainer for over 8 years and holds certifications in Schwinn Cycling, Group Fitness with NETA, Livestrong Foundation, “Move” with the Department of the Army-VA, Silver Sneakers, Yoga, Pilates, Barre, Ripped, Bosu and Tabata. Michelle is passionate about weightlifting, Cross training and HITT. She has worked with ages 5 to 95 and loves helping others achieve their goals and showing them that they’re capable of
most anything – as long as they set their mind to it. She is mother to three teenage boys, and is always learning, reading and researching fitness & nutritional information.

My Fitness journey started three and a half year ago when I was 285 lbs. I am still in the process of losing weight and building a better physique for myself. Losing weight is not an easy task; it takes hard work and discipline. I enjoy using my knowledge to help others obtain their goals and live a healthy lifestyle. As a trainer, my goal is to educate my clients about the importance of foundational training, which leads to a better physique down the road. I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer, and have a BA in Exercise Science from Augusta University.

She grew up living a very healthy lifestyle in Columbia, South Carolina and always had a passion for fitness. Zoe says being a trainer is her dream job and she is very excited to have the opportunity to help others become the best they can be inside and out.

Peter Yip

NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Peter is a NASM certified personal trainer and loves exercise and working out. He has a background in weight lifting, breakdancing and martial arts and aims to improve every client’s flexibility, mobility, strength, endurance and general health. Peter plans to use his knowledge about anatomy and physiology to create personalized workouts. He believes consistency, discipline and effort are the most important qualities.
