Make a Splash at YMCA Outdoor Water Parks

Staying active in and out of the water is just one of the many ways the Y strengthens us all! From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, our outdoor water parks are open for lap swim, family pool days, aqua aerobics and birthday parties. Water park and pool access is included in Metro Memberships at no additional cost! Learn more about each of our pool/water parks at the links below.

Have a Safe Summer

Water safety is critical to a successful summer. The Y is one of the nation’s leading providers of swim lessons and water safety instruction. Swimming is a lifelong skill that everyone, at any age, can benefit from. The Y encourages children and adults to have fun and enjoy the various benefits of swimming, but to always make safety their first priority. The Y recommends children and adults practice the following safety tips when in and around the water:

  • Only swim when and where there is a lifeguard on duty; never swim alone.
  • Adults should constantly and actively watch their children.
  •  Inexperienced or non-swimmers should wear a Coast Guard-approved life jacket.
  • Parents or guardians of young children should be within an arm’s reach.
  • Children and adults should not engage in breath holding activities.

Learn more about swim lessons here. Call your local Y for more details.

POLICIES

Swim Bands: All swimmers 15 and under must wear a swim band on the pool deck. If a swimmer passed a swim test last summer, they will still need to retake it for the 2022 season.

Floats: All flotation devices must be U.S. Coast Guard approved or they will not be allowed in the pool.
